Ari Diaz grew up in a Puerto Rican family in Metro Detroit where she was surrounded by vibrant color and urban sprawl. As a surface and multimedia graphic designer, she incorporates diverse media from digital paint, weaving and natural dye into her original work for children’s apparel, accessories and toys.

 In 2016, her handwoven skirt was selected for exhibition at the prestigious Smithsonian Craft Show in Washington D.C.  She interned with Innovation First International in Dallas where she created short run advertisements for social media and branded graphics for the New York Toy Fair.


In 2017 She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in Fibers. While finishing her degree she created a screen printed textile collection for Alexandra Pijut, which showed in both New York and Paris Fashion week. 

Ari currently lives in Rockland County NY and works as a textile and product designer at Lebatex, her designs are for sale at Calico Corners and QVC through the Stacy Garcia brand. 

Ari currently lives in Miami FL and works as a textile designer at Tail Activewear. 


In her free time Ari enjoys crochet and cycling. Both of which she normally does while listening to Harry Potter audio books.
